Escape to Kefalonia: A Journey to Your Center

Getting to Kefalonia is not included in your retreat package  but many guests use the below options:

By Air:

From Athens: Direct flights operate from Athens International Airport (ATH) to Kefalonia (EFL) daily. The flight is approximately one hour.

From the U.S. & Europe: For those coming from the U.S., we recommend flying into a major European hub first. During the September season, direct flights to Kefalonia (EFL) are typically available from London (LHR or LGW), Amsterdam, Milan, and Munich.

💡 Pro-Tip for U.S. To manage jet lag and ensure a stress-free journey, many attendees choose to stay one night in a European hub city (like London or Amsterdam) both before and after the retreat.

This "buffer night" makes it much easier to time your connecting flights and gives you a chance to see sights like Stonehenge or the London city center. On the return, an overnight in a city like Amsterdam allows for a relaxed final stop before your long-haul flight home.

By Ferry

If you prefer to travel by sea, Kefalonia is connected to the Greek mainland with regular service from the ports of Kyllini (arriving in Poros) and Patras (arriving in Sami). This is a beautiful way to see the coastline if you are already traveling within Greece.

Arrival in Skala
Once you arrive on the island, reaching Skala is simple:

  • From Kefalonia Airport (EFL): Skala is approximately a 45 to 60-minute drive.

  • From the Ferry Ports:  The closest port to Skala is Poros, which is a much shorter commute (only about 15-20 minutes).

  • Taxis: Readily available at both the airport and ferry terminals.
